If I was told to explain the week in one word, I wouldn't be able to. We've only been here for a little over a week, and God has already blown ALL of my expectations out of the water. The Holy Spirit has not stopped moving from day one. The things He has brought about are countless. Healing, freedom, revelation, wisdom, strength, trust, brotherhood, and so many other things! And it's only the first week! hahaha.
I think this is the shortest post ever... hahaha.

Preparations
Ephesians 6:14:-16 14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
God has been moving from the moment we all stepped onto this base, and has every day revealed something new to me in preparation of what's to come. It kind of blows my mind when I think about how all of what He has already done is just the preparation, and what's to come is far greater than any of us can imagine.
In the few days that we've all been here, we all feel like we have known each other for years. It's amazing how quickly God is putting that bond in us, as we become a family.
I have so much more I want to share with you guys, but some things are going to have to wait. But all I ask is that you keep these things in your prayers. Even though they are unknown to you, they are known by our Father. So please, keep us all in your prayers as we prepare you all that is ahead of us.
Mark 16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

The Start
Wow! I can't believe that DTS is so close! For all of those who have supported me through prayer and finances, I want to thank you guys so much! You are playing a HUGE roll in this.
Well, there's no better way to start a story than from the beginning, right? When I was thirteen years old, I went on my very first missions trip to Ensenada, Mexico where we ministered to children with special needs in orphanages and built a house for a new couple with two children. It was during this trip when God really spoke missions work into my heart. But it wasn't until October of 2010 that I really took this call seriously.
Lets go back for a little bit, and look into this past year so you can get a feel for what God has been doing in my life this past year. This year God has freed me from bondage in the following areas: alcohol abuse, drug abuse, self injury, depression, and other countless things. Just a quick heads up, I am going to be very transparent in this blog!!! So sorry if some of what you read in future posts bothers you a bit. Hahaha. But we will save all that for a future post! Anyhow, God has truly made me a completely different person. The reason why I am posting this is because the purpose of this blog is to glorify Christ by showing all of what God has gotten me through in preparation for YWAM and to show all of what He will be doing during these next six months.
I want to leave you all off with one final note, something that God has been pressing into my soul for quite some time now. BE BOLD! I believe that we are all called into missions. Be it in a foreign country, or in your own town or neighborhood. So I challenge whoever reads this to do just that. Be bold for our God, and tell every soul about Him.
